A MAN has been charged in connection with the death of woman killed in a car crash in the New Forest earlier this year.
Nigel Bath-Smith, 53, of Thornbury Avenue, Blackfield, Southampton, faces one charge of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving after Joyce Frigot died in the accident on June 17.
He has been bailed to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on November 23.
Mrs Frigot, 61, from Somerford, died in a collision involving her red Vauxhall Astra and a silver Vauxhall Insignia on the A35 at Holmsley.
A family tribute said: “Joyce was a lovely, friendly lady who was full of fun and loved making cakes for friends and loved ones.
“She was a loving wife to Dennis, mum to Shane, Teresa and Sandra, nan to Matthew, Mary, Dennis, Courtney, Jamie-Lee and Joshua and great-grandma to Lily-Rose.
“She was taken too quickly from us and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.”
