A RINGWOOD art gallery has taken on an empty shop unit at Fridays Cross in the run up to Christmas for the second year running.
Bettles Gallery is now open and showcasing work of national and local media and ceramic artists.
Gill Bettle said: “It is amazing to see the various ways in which clay can be transformed into sculptural shapes. Work from potters Mike Braisher, Colin Jones and David Rogers from the New Forest area, John Maltby, Jeremy Nichols, Nick Rees and Jack Doherty with international reputations, and Ostinelli and Priest with their sculptural animals give the broadest view of the possibilities.
“Painters Martyn Brewster, Teresa Lawton, Sheila Goodman, Tony Scrivener and Roger Bettle are all given wall space, so the choice is varied.”
The gallery is open in Christchurch Road until Christmas Eve, 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.
