2:00pm Tuesday 19th February 2013 in New Forest News
Year 3's Willow Base at Verwood First School enjoy a science day.
YEAR 3 pupils in Verwood First School’s Willow Base had an exciting science day, where they carried out experiments using eggshells and different drinks (coke, water, orange juice and milk) to study the effect of the sugars on the enamel.
The Science Day was part of their current topic work looking at sweets.
Other activities connected to the topic include making sweets and reading Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. They are also learning about the effects that eating too many sweets has on teeth.
