Volunteer driver plea

RELIEF drivers are needed to ferry elderly people from the Forest to social day centres.

Up to 70 people enjoy a day out with lunch each week at Heather-lands Community Hall and St Leonards Village Hall, organised by Age Concern Ferndown and District.

The charity would welcome offers of an hour or two from people who have time – the oldest volunteer is 92, so age is not a barrier.

Relief drivers and escorts are always needed to cover holidays and illness, and trustees would be welcome too.
