Gateway to Fairer trading

A FAIRTRADE market will be held outside the Gateway in Ringwood tomorrow, from 11am-2pm, to coincide with Fairtrade Fortnight, which started on Monday.

There will be stalls selling drinks, cakes, products from Timber and the chance to name the Fairtrade mascot.

Ringwood Town has Fairtrade status, but this has to be renewed one year after status is achieved and then every two years.

The event is|supported by Ringwood Chamber of Commerce, Ringwood Town Council, Ringwood School, Burley School, Timber, Williams Lester,|The Meeting House, Waitrose, Churches of Ringwood|parish and Sainsbury’s.

Fairtrade secretary Vikki Jordan said: “It’s fantastic to see people working towards such a worthwhile cause.”
