Acts of kindness rewarded

A SPECIAL ceremony to recognise people from Hampshire who have made a difference in their community will take place tomorrow night.

The county council’s Good Neighbour Awards, which will recognise several people from the Forest, will be held at the Great Hall in Winchester.

Now in its ninth year, the contest is backed by Age Concern Hampshire, Carers Together, Brendoncare Club Hampshire, the Good Neighbours Support Service and WRVS.

The many acts of kindness that will be celebrated in the awards ceremony include daily support and practical help such as transport to appointments, small tasks around the house, translating and interpreting for others, shopping, cooking, time to chat, and help during the night.
