Ride in aid of male cancers
4:00pm Friday 13th September 2013 in New Forest News
A BIKE ride is being held this Sunday in aid of male cancers.
The New Forest Charity Bike Ride will raise cash for Orchid, which funds research into prostate, penile and testicular cancer.
The event is now in its 17th year and last year around 1,000 cyclists took part, cycling from Brockenhurst and through Burley, Ringwood and Linwood.
Riders have a choice of four routes: 17 miles (family-friendly), 31 miles (short), 44 miles (medium) and a new 60 mile (long) route option. There will be refreshment stops at regular intervals and Bike Events provide full back-up, including route-signing, marshals, medics, mechanics and support vehicles. Music, refreshments and massage will greet the riders at the finish.
You can enter online at www.bike-events.com, with discounts for teams of six or more and students. It is also possible to sign up on the day.
