JAKE Turner, of Hillside Community First School in Verwood, was a delighted winner of the competition to design a poster encouraging people to stop dropping litter and pick up dog mess.
The competition was run by East Dorset District Council and its leader Malcolm Birr turned up at the school’s assembly on Friday to surprise Jake with the news and present him with his prize of WHSmith gift vouchers.
Mr Birr said that the poster stood out in its simplicity and design.
