Scheme to save cash on energy bills
4:00pm Monday 23rd December 2013 in New Forest News
A SCHEME to help Hampshire residents save money on their energy bills has opened for applications once again.
The Switch Hampshire scheme offers residents the chance to use collective buying power to get the best deal on their electricity and gas.
People have to register an interest at hants.gov.uk/switch or on 01962 846828, then they will be given an offer in the new year, which they have no obligation to accept.
To register you will need to know your current tariff for gas and/or electricity and how much energy you have used over the past year either in money or kilowatt hours. If you don’t know these details, you can contact your energy supplier to find out.
Registration closes on February 17. The average figure saved during the last wave of applications was more than £100.
To give small and medium businesses in Hampshire a continued opportunity to switch and save, the Switch Hampshire scheme for businesses has been extended.
Businesses can now register before February 17 to see if they can also save money on their energy bills.
