GREAT fun was had when Hillside Community First School in Verwood held their Christmas Fayre.

The Friends of Hillside organised the evening, which included many stalls and games, including tombolas, guess the name of the reindeer, cake and bottle stalls and a raffle.

The children (and adults) could have their faces painted and temporary tattoos applied, as well as make various craft items.

Years 3 and 4 pupils organised and ran their own games to raise money, thoroughly enjoying the responsibility. A visit to Santa was also a must.

The Verwood Concert Brass Training Band entertained the crowd with a rousing selection of Christmas music to get everyone into the spirit. The entertaining evening raised over £1,400, which will be used to benefit the children in Hillside.
