HAMPSHIRE County Council is calling for nominations for its popular Good Neighbour Awards.
This year the council is keen to ensure the awards celebrate the contribution of all ages.
The awards are held to recognise those Hampshire residents who volunteer and give their neighbours that ‘bit of help’ – whether it is working with young people with disabilities and special needs, or helping less able neighbours.
This year’s awards will be handed out in the Great Hall, Winchester, on Thursday, March 20. Nominations can be made by downloading a form from www.hants.gov.uk/goodneighbourawards, using the one in the latest Hampshire Now magazine or requesting one via civic.events@hants.gov.uk.
The closing date for nominations is Monday. Individuals and groups cannot be nominated more than once and the award is not open to residents of Portsmouth and Southampton.
