AN international festival of street performance art is being held for a second time in Ringwood after a successful first year.

The Fanfare for Spring filled the town with music, song, dance, street theatre, jugglers, buskers, bands and a variety of performances and happenings throughout the day in its inaugural event.

It was such a success another is planned this year on May 17.

Event coordinator Roger Bettle said: “The town was excited by the event last year, so we thought we should repeat it.

“I am hoping we can expand the idea, attracting even more performers and visitors.”

Once again, Rotary Club of Ringwood and Ringwood 41 Club are involved.

The Fanfare team will be contacting performers from last year’s event but they will be delighted to hear from street performers who would like to join them on the streets of Ringwood this year, when the town will be alive with music, song and street theatre.
