HAMPSHIRE County Council is investing £1.4m to make 25 of its buildings greener.
The council is launching an Energy Performance Project to save £200,000 each year by making its libraries, activity centres and nursing homes more energy efficient.
The measures to reduce energy consumption in 25 buildings include new automated lighting, motion sensors, new boilers, roof and cavity wall insulation and draught proofing.
