A BUSINESS that will bring in young foreign students to the UK to live with families and attend local schools has been launched, with co-ordinators now in place in Dorset and Hampshire.

MyEducation is already established in Denmark and Norway for students and their host families to learn about different cultures as well as improving foreign language skills.

The company will also be sending British students abroad as it develops a network across the continent and further afield.

MyEducation is now seeking host families who will be able to look after a foreign student aged between 16 and 18 for a five or ten-month placement.

The students from Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia already speak English and families will receive money to pay for the extra costs they might incur.

Those on placements will attend normal British schools and are expected to immerse themselves in the culture.

Nicky Butler, who has set up the British branch and is based in Hampshire, said: “We are welcoming applications from families of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds. A host family is a unit that can offer a bed and a space in their home to our arriving students, but most importantly they will offer love and support.
