The world first CT scanner is revealed at Bournemouth hospital
THE Royal Bournemouth Hospital has unveiled a new CT scanner – the first of its kind in the world.
It offers faster scan times enabling scanning of body parts that are unable to be kept still. It can also scan metallic implants and the tissues around them and has a larger scanner gantry hole which reduces anxiety and allows for scanning of larger patients.
