A SUMMER ball is being held in May to raise money for a little boy with a terminal wasting disease to go on a trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris.

Jon Tarrant-Heckford, above, has with Sanfilippo syndrome, which prevents the body removing waste and chemicals from the brain and nervous system.

The condition means he may not live beyond ten years old.

Wishes 4 Jon was set up to raise money to give Jon and his family some magical memories during their time together.

To date the family have been to Lapland and Marwell Zoo and now they are hoping the summer ball will raise enough finds to send them to Disneyland.

His mother Lorraine Tarrant said: “We just desperately want to take Jon to this magical world of make-believe, where we can make some more amazing memories and make this precious time with him unforgettable.

“Jon loves giggling and I imagine there will be lots of giggles in Disneyland. He will love the lights, the atmosphere and meeting all his favourite characters.

“The ball to raise money for Wishes 4 Jon is sure to be a wonderful occasion.”

The summer ball is being held at Tyrells Ford Hotel, Avon on May 17.

Tickets are available at £35, to include three courses and live music, from Lorraine Tarrant Antiques on 01425 461123 or the Fox in the Forest on 07881 880273.
