Young carers get a treat

First published in New Forest News

FORTY young carers received Easter eggs and a free swim thanks to New Forest District Council and radio station Wave 105 and their listeners.

Support worker Tanya Brierley said: “We contacted the council to ask if we could reserve spaces for some of our young carers on their Easter fun swims and they were very generous and arranged things for us.

“Then Wave 105 said we could have some Easter eggs as well, which was a lovely surprise. We’ve had some very tired but very happy children.”
