THE Sainsbury’s store at Ringwood wants to hear from local charities which would be interested in receiving food donations.
The food donation scheme is aimed at charities and organisation which could really benefit from receiving surplus fresh food products that would otherwise go to waste.
Store manager Kevin Strowger said: “Donating our surplus food is a great way of supporting local charities and also reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
He added: “We would urge any charitable group which provides meals for people and which may be interested in receiving food donations to get in touch with the store.”
