POLICE investigating an assault outside a campsite at Sutton Holms near Verwood are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
The incident, in which a teenage girl from Poole was assaulted while walking her dog, happened at approximately 7.40pm on Friday outside Sutton Hill Camping and Caravanning Club site.
A man approached the victim and pushed her to the ground. She managed to push him away and the offender ran off. The girl sustained minor grazes.
The man is described as white, about six feet tall and he was wearing dark clothing and a balaclava.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 20:472, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
