A SPORTY Fun taster day is being held at Moors Valley Country Park this Saturday, as part of the Activate Coast and Countryside project.

This will be the first taster day under the scheme and will run from 10am until 4pm.

Visitors will be able to try a range of activities as well as enter competitions. Activities available will include rounders, fishing, cycling, orienteering, golf, Nordic walking and many more.

All activities are free of change and include equipment and guided instruction. Normal car parking charges apply.

The day is open to all ages but some activities may not be suitable for younger children.

The Activate Coast & Countryside project, which aims to increase regular participation in sport and recreation for people living in the Christchurch and East Dorset area, was officially launched in February, following the award of £221,234 Sport England funding last December.
