THE Friends of the New Forest Airfields are holding an aviation history drop-in day this Sunday at its education centre in Merryfield Park, Bransgore, from 10am until 4pm.
They will also be telling the story of local First World War aviation between Portland and Gosport at the community village at the Tribute to the Fallen event on Christchurch Quay.
Then on July 23 FONFA will be at the Filly Inn at Setley, participating in the New Forest Heritage Day organised by the New Forest National Park as part of the Festival of British Archaeology.
The Tribute to the Fallen on Christchurch Quay will feature music all day, a community village of standards devoted to remembrance and culminating in a drum head ceremony.
The Friends of the New Forest Airfields can be contacted on 01425 674516, or email fonfa2010@gmail.com
