POLICE "urgently" need to trace the driver of a flatbed truck and trailer after a man was hit on the M3 this morning.
Officers are currently dealing with an incident on the M3 nortbound, at the onslip of junction 6 (Basingstoke) after being called to the scene at 9.47am.
A spokesman said: "Did you see a red VW Golf and a flatbed lorry and trailer on the hard shoulder of the on-slip? Please call us urgently if you did."
A man has suffered serious injuries after being hit by the trailer. The truck driver did not stop and continued to drive northbound on the M3.
The spokesman added: "Please be aware that there may be delays to journeys as a result of our work on the slip road. If you saw what happened please contact us on 101."
