A PRIZE draw to win a silk artwork has been launched by Robin Cook, chairman of East Dorset District Council, to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society and The Friends of Victoria Hospital, Wimborne.
Entries at £2 each will give a chance of winning a unique piece of artwork by local silk weaver Debby Kirby, who is based at Walford Mill Crafts, Wimborne.
Mrs Kirby uses pictures taken by her husband Jez Randell as he travels around the Dorset countryside and dyes the silk threads to complement each piece. The picture you could win is of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, donated by Mrs Kirby and framed courtesy of Lorraine from Wimborne Picture Framing.
Tickets will be on sale at various venues or contact Cllr Cook on 07968 265897. The draw will take place on March 7 next year.
