Town allotments voted top of the plots in competition
PRIZES have been awarded to green fingered Ringwood residents in the town’s annual allotment competition.
The chairman of the town council’s recreation, leisure and open spaces committee Brian Terry presented the prizes to the winners.
Robin Atak of the Ringwood Garden Club judged the competition. He said: “This is an event that the Gardening Club enjoy each year.
“The best plots were of a very high standard.”
The prizes were awarded as follows:
Upper Kingston: 1 Mr and Mrs Shields, 2 Mr R Brown
Southampton Road: 1 Mr and Mrs Bateman, 2 Mrs B Hurlock
Hightown Road: 1 Michael Gubbins, 2 Neil Evans
Mini Plots: 1 Kenneth Brewer, 2 Ewan Forbes
Overall Winner: Mr and Mrs Shields
