A RINGWOOD pupil has been recognised for her outstanding achievements.
Gracie Fox, of Poulner Junior School, received the Michael Harlick Outstanding Sportsperson award for cycling at the Hampshire Schools Sports Federation’s 25th annual Michael Austin Harlick Awards last month.
Glasgow Commonwealth Games gold medallist Kelly Simm presented the winners with trophies during the ceremony held in Winchester.
Councillor Peter Edgar, Hampshire County Council’s executive member for education, said: “These awards showcase the wealth of young sports talent here in Hampshire, and it is testament to the hard work of the young people and their coaches.”
The Michael Austin Harlick awards recognise consistent and outstanding achievement in school sports activities throughout the academic year.
Nominations are received from county schools’ sports associations affiliated to the Hampshire Schools’ Sports Federation.
