STRONG winds battered Fordingbridge last night (Wednesday).
Milli Long and her partner Julian Schofield say they were woken at around 1am after bricks and debris flew off the roof of a storage room at the Raj of India restaurant, Shaftesbury Street.
She said: “There was a huge bang in the middle of the night. I thought it was our wall.”
The couple helped clear the rubble from the road, including bricks, which had been blown off by the sheer force of the wind.
“I thought it was a car accident,” added Milli.
