A SENSORY family trail is to open at Moors Valley Country Park.
The Superworm activity trail opens tomorrow and is based on a story from the creator of The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child.
Moors Valley is one of only 20 sites in the UK to open the trail this year. Especially designed by Forestry Commission England’s learning team, the super-sensory trails will offer a fun day out for young children and families.
Superworm tells the story of how a superhero worm and his mini-beast friends defeat the villainous Wizard Lizard.
The activity trail will be open until the end of October, incorporating up to ten stops, each offering activity ideas and questions. It will use its fun format to help children use their super-senses to connect with the forest environment around them.
Additional activities created by the Youth Sports Trust will also excite young explorers to become super-fit like Superworm.
Special packs with additional things to do, including a sticker sheet, activity leaflet, string to make your own Superworm and a limited edition Superworm mini-book will also be available to buy in the visitor centre.
