THE colourful characters of children's literature leapt off the pages and were brought to life by children in Fordingbridge.
Pupils and staff from Fordingbridge Junior School got into the spirit of World Book Day on Thursday.
The Coach House Day Nursery also dressed up in some fabulous costumes – transforming themselves into Elmer the patchwork elephant, Spiderman and the Gruffalo to name a few a the characters.
They spent the week making masks and models of Elmer.
