VISITORS to St James’ Church in Alderholt this Sunday and next will come upon a host of golden, wild daffodils.
Rev Pip Martin is holding a Wild for Daffodils day on Mother’s Day this Sunday, with refreshments served in the church hall between 2pm until 4.30pm.
The churchyard has won several awards for its wildlife-friendly management while remaining sensitive to the needs of the bereaved who visit.
Wild daffodils are fairly rare, but St James' churchyard usually boasts a carpet of them. All proceeds will go towards the church funds.
