MAY DAY Madness gripped the community of Hyde.
Hyde Church of England Primary School were joined by parents and children on Friday to celebrate May Day with plenty of activities on offer for all ages on Hyde Common.
There was a treasure hunt, pony rides, welly wanging, May Day crown making, face painting, cream teas as well as a maypole dance under the guidance of one of the school's teaching assistants.
The event raised more than £500, which will go towards much needed equipment and educational outings.
