BUDDING actors with dreams of taking centre stage are being given a chance to be part of Fordingbridge Players' latest production.

The group is holding an open play reading for The Railway Children on Tuesday (May 12) at 7.30pm in the drama studio of Burgate School and Sixth Form Centre.

The heart-warming tale follows a London family who are forced to move to Yorkshire when their father is taken away from them.

Female and male actors are needed as well as young people to play the three main children, Bobby, Phyllis and Peter, and the Perks family.

Fordingbridge Players' are also looking for set builders and stage hands.

The production will be staged during the half-term holiday in February 2016 with rehearsals starting this September.
