ITALIAN market Grande Mercato Ringwood is being held in the town on June 19 and 20.

And there will be an accordion player on Saturday to bring an Italian feel to the Market Place.

Restaurant Love Italy is eager to see the market and will be doing something a little special of their own to make the visitors feel welcome.

Organiser Mandy Oldfield said: "I am really enjoying putting on these events and people seem to be receiving them very well and it certainly adds variety to their shopping experience."

This will be the second market this year with a third Christmas Market planned for the town on December 5.

Mayor of Ringwood Michael Thierry said: "I hope our residents will enjoy this market and the others the town council has planned. Do visit the market, but please also support our local traders. It is certainly turning out to be a year for new events in the town which is absolutely fantastic."

Just one week later Ringwood will host its first Armed Forces Day Event on Bickerley Green with a variety of stalls, displays, fair rides, kids activities and military vehicles.

Organisers are keen to point out that they will continue to take bookings until June 25.
