THE past chairman of East Dorset District Council has awarded £5,200 to his chosen charities.
Robin Cook raised the funds during his year in office and has given the money to the Alzheimer’s Society and the Friends of Victoria Hospital inWimborne.
He has now presented each of the charities with a cheque for £2,600.
In addition £647 was donated to the Bournemouth University Dementia Institute as a contribution to their Dementia Orchestra project.
