A MOTORCYCLIST has been rushed to hospital following a collision with a car on the A31 near Ringwood.
Dorset Police were called at 10.49am to reports of a crash involving a black Yamaha motorbike, registered to a Verwood man, and a grey BMW, registered to a woman from Winchester.
Part of the A31 westbound closed, at the junction of the A338 Salisbury Road, while paramedics treated the drivers at the scene.
A police spokeswoman said: "The male cyclist has been taken to Southampton General Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries."
The man is being treated for knee and head injuries.
