FIRE crews rescued a cow stuck in mud near Fordingbridge.
Firefighters and animal rescue specialists were called to the scene at Godshill, where the three-year-old Aberdeen Angus cow had got stuck.
Using a special hoist, the teams managed to lift the heft heifer out.
The nearby Sandy Balls Holiday Village provided a tractor to help in the operation, which happened on Friday.
After being freed the animal has been put in a dry shed and is expected to make a full recovery.
