A TEENAGE girl sustained life threatening injuries in a crash near Verwood last night.
At 6.05pm a red Ford Fiesta crashed into trees on Edmonsham Road after the driver lost control of the car, police said.
A 15-year-old Verwood girl had to be cut free from the car by firefighters and was taken to Southampton general hospital with life threatening injuries.
The 18-year-old driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Poole hospital for treatment.
The road was closed for several hours while accident investigators examined the scene.
The girl's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by police.
Police Constable Kevin Adlem, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the Fiesta being driven immediately before the incident, to please call me on 101.”
