POLICE are hunting a driver of a 4x4 towing a horsebox who mowed down a cyclist in Bransgore without stopping.

The woman, aged in her 60s,was left with a broken arm and bruising after she was knocked off her bike on BurleyRoad on Sunday January 10 between 12.45pm and 1pm.

Police are searching for a dark-coloured 4x4 vehicle towing a silver or grey single horsebox and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Police constable TonyFaramus said: "I am appealing to the driver of this car to please come forward and speak to me.

"I know that there were a number of other vehicles in the area at the time of the collision. Some of them stopped to help the woman but others but others continued driving.

"I would appeal for these motorists who carried on behind the horsebox to please also make contact."
