A MAN working at The Old Inn in Holt took this photograph after a huge bolt of lightning struck- just feet away from his car.
Lee Cooper was working when a loud bang accompanying the flash of lightning took him and his colleagues by surprise.
He said: “We’d had a power cut earlier on and popped outside to check out the weather – we certainly weren’t expecting something like that.
“It’s definitely the closest I’ve ever been to a lightning strike.”
Lee added he could have ended up even closer to the lightning bolt had he arrived to work at his usual time.
"I was meant to start work at 11am - the time the lightning struck - so it could have potentially hit me. Fortunately, I was called in early, but it definitely freaked me out."
