LEGENDAY Roald Dahl was celebrated at Ringwood Junior School to pay tribute to the 100th birthday of the late creative genius who has given the world a century of colourful characters.

Pupils pulled on their BFG ears, picked up their giant peaches, corrected their Grand High Witch’s wigs and held on tight to their Willy Wonka canes for the day dedicated to Dahl.

A fun packed day was spent celebrating what would have been Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday and the school enjoyed revelling in the magic and wonder of the world’s best story teller.

Favourite stories were shared, fashion shows were had and new Roald Dahl character names were invented as youngsters spent the day submerged in the wonderful world of imagination.

Sally-Ann Evans, Headteacher commented: “This has been a wonderful way to celebrate this popular author’s birthday and take time to enjoy his books”.
