KIND-HEARTED youngsters at Hillside Community First School in Verwood have donated hundreds of tins and packages of food to foodbanks across the region as part of their Harvest Festival celebrations.
The school's annual autumn event was held at Verwood Methodist Church, supported by scores of families, friends and school staff.
Head teacher Jeremy Harrison and Rev Nigel Deller received the food on behalf of the Trussell Trust.
Pupils across the year groups created songs and poems with a Harvest theme, performing them to fellow students and their proud parents.
More donations of food can be dropped off at Ringwood foodbanks. Ring 01425 600134 for more information.
