IDENTICAL twins and former pupils of Ringwood Waldorf School are spending Easter taking music, theatre and workshops to vulnerable children stuck in refugee camps across Greece.

Budding actors Leah and Mhairi Gayer, 21, are among a seven-strong group of drama and music students who will be spending ten days with refugees at the camps.

Leah and Mhairi, who attend the top London drama schools RADA and Guildhall respectively, have joined the student company Wind-Up Penguin Theatre which has a five-year track record in performing for children internationally.

Leah said: “The children in the camps in Greece are in need not only of food, shelter and protection, but also a space to be a child again, to play and laugh after their traumatic journeys. We are very excited about the work we will be doing out there.”

Wind-Up Penguin Theatre is run entirely by students and young graduates and funds projects itself.

Donations, however small, are welcome to help cover transport and accommodation costs. For more information go to justgiving.com/ campaigns/charity/wind-uppenguin/greece2017.
