MORE than 100 runners laced up their running shoes for the annual Fordingbridge Fire Station 10K Road Race at the weekend.
The event on Sunday, April 30, which celebrated its 21st year, started and finished at the fire station.
Fordingbridge Fire Station manager Pete White said: “The run attracted 130 runners from all over who all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the event. Lots commented on how lovely the course was and the fab bluebells near Whitsbury Cross. Another worthwhile event which once again we will be repeating for the 22nd year on May 6, 2018.”
Winners First three men: D Spreckley - 35m 17s; J McCafferey, I Luke
First three women: A Bayliss - 43m 26s; S Stewart; S Ellis
First Firefighter: D Stringer from Ringwood Fire station
Trophies were presented to the winners and all participants received medals.
