FORDINGBRIDGE children put on their dancing shoes to showcase their best moves.

Fordingbridge Junior School hosted its annual Country Dance Festival which boasted a mixture of traditional country dancing as well as the children’s own interpretation of modern dance.

Parents were also invited to watch the afternoon’s entertainment and even participated in some of the more traditional group dances.

Head teacher Kim Robertson said: "Each year the children of Fordingbridge Junior School enjoy an afternoon of dance. Each year group choreograph a dance which they perform to a modern song. As well as a modern dance the whole school takes part in different Country Dances. The highlight of the afternoon is the parent/ carer participation. Mums, dads, grandparents are encouraged by their children to join in with some of the dances. The country dance festival is a wonderful community event which is enjoyed by young and old."
