REVELLERS enjoyed plenty of live music and helped raise about £4,000 at this year's Party in a Park.

The annual event, which is organised by Fordingbridge Fire Station, took place on Saturday at Riverside Park.

Money raised will be split between mental health charity Mind and the Firefighters charity. This year's event was in memory of Ringwood 22-year-old Connor Johnson who died after a crash on the A31 in May.

Fordingbridge watch manager Pete White said: "It was a brilliant day, the weather was fab. It was the third year of the event and this was definitely the best one. It was really good. It brought the town together."

The event saw about 300 people attend.

It has been a busy time for firefighters in the town who recently completed the Three Peaks Challenge - conquering Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in aid of the Firefighters Charity.

Pete said: "It was fantastic. We had some spectacular views and it was really good for team building. It was really hard but worth doing."
