A LARGE amount of waste was dumped at Abbotswell car park, Frogham.
The mess, which included fencing panels, was discovered on Monday morning and has been reported to New Forest District Council.
A spokesman for the council said: "A fly-tipping incident at the Forestry Commission's Abbotswell car park was reported to us this week. We will work with them to investigate any evidence found which could help identify and pursue whoever is responsible. We have the power to fine both the person who dumped the rubbish and the householder or business where the rubbish originated.
"We urge all businesses and householders to check that the company or individual who is offering to take their waste has a waste carriers licence. This can be checked on the Environment Agency's waste carrier register, accessible through gov.uk. If they do not have a licence, do not use them."
Anyone with any information about who is responsible should contact our customer services team on 023 8028 5000. You can report fly-tipping to us on 023 8028 5000.
