A PEDESTRIAN sustained a broken ankle after a collision involving a car in Bransgore.

Police say at about 10.30am yesterday (Thursday, January 18), a pedestrian and a car collided on Oak Tree Parade.

The pedestrian, a 73-year-old woman, was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to her injuries.

The car did stop at the scene for some time, before the driver left without leaving any details.

Officers are appealing to the driver to come forward so they can establish what happened.

She has been described as white, aged approximately in her 30s, with brown hair, and had a child in the car with her.

The details of the vehicle are not known at this time.

PC Carl Osman said: “This incident took place in the centre of Bransgore village, and there were a number of people around at the time. If you saw anything, we would like to hear from you.

“Further to this, we would like to identify the driver of the vehicle involved. If this was you, or you know who the person is, please get in touch so we can establish the exact circumstances of this incident.”
