A TEAM of volunteers rolled up their sleeves for a day of community action in Alderholt.
The community action day, which was held by Alderholt Chapel on Saturday (February 17) saw more than 40 people of all ages take on practical tasks to improve the village.
Particpants gave up their time to take part in a variety of activities including gardening, painting, clearing paths and litter picking. The Alderholt Chapel’s “high-vis army” even handed out free chocolate to passers-by.
The event was supported by Alderholt Parish Council, the village hall and St James’ CE First School.
A spokesman for Alderholt Chapel said: “The team discovered that a little work goes a long way and have already had lots of good encouraging feedback from local organisations and residents.”
