HISTORY came to life for pupils at Fordingbridge Junior School.
The children from Year 3 and teaching staff arrived in full Roman attire especially for the occasion
Pupils enjoyed a great day learning about Romans and performing the play The Romans are Coming on April 17.
Ben Lindsey-Clark from the Treehouse Theatre visited the school to perform alongside the children.
A spokesman for Fordingbridge Junior School said: "All the students were involved in the production, playing various roles; centurions and emperors to pits and gladiators.
"Acting out their roles brilliantly, the children then spent the afternoon learning about Roman numerals, making shields and experiencing woad face-painting."
