Desmond Swayne and supporters celebrate his victory
DESMOND Swayne has retained his seat for the Tories in New Forest West.
The Conservative candidate is now starting his fourth term as an MP, after winning with a slightly increased majority.
Results: Desmond Swayne, Conservative - 27,980 vote, 58.82 per cent. Mike Plummer, Lib Dem - 11,084 votes, 23.3 per cent. Janice Hume, Labour - 4,666 votes, 9.81 per cent. Martin Lyon, UKIP - 2,783 votes, 5.85 per cent. Janet Richards, Green - 1,059 votes, 2.23 per cent. Majority - 16,896 Turnout - 47, 572, 69.62 per cent
