Fordingbridge killings - post mortem results

A POST mortem has revealed a mum found dead with her two children and husband in Fordingbridge died from knife wounds.

Detectives investigating the deaths of Vicki Case, her husband Andrew and her two children Phoebe and Nereya have confirmed 31-year-old Vicki died from knife wounds.

A post mortem carried out at Royal Hampshire County Hospital on the body of Andrew, 33, revealed he died from a ligature suspension.

It is believed he killed wife Vicki and their two young daughters before hanging himself in the home in Provost Street yesterday.

The cause of death of the two girls has yet to be established. Post mortem examinations are due to take place this afternoon.

Acting Superintendent Gary Cooper said: “Detectives are continuing to investigate the background and the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.

“The families of everyone involved are understandably extremely shocked and distressed by what has happened and have asked that they are left alone to try and come to terms with their loss.”
